Twenty Years
By PDS Wealth Management on September 9, 2021
Five Presidential terms ago, on a shining September morning time stood still and we gasped in horror as the “World Trade Center” exploded and collapsed, taking with it thousands of office workers and their would-be rescuers. Some had risen to lofty perches; others simply answered an alarm, driven by their solemn promise to serve when called. Innocent, they perished together in a cauldron of hatred fueled by strangers.
This weekend, those of us old enough to remember the friends who were taken from us on that awful morning will pause and ponder what we have learned in the two decades that have passed so quickly. The young among us may barely notice, spared by their youth from the heartbreak their elders felt, deprived of the resolve which quickly rose in its aftermath. Some of us cannot help but feel that our collective memory has grown far too short.
Autumn is suddenly upon us. Please join us in taking time this weekend to remember what we lost, and to rekindle what we learned.
